Veteran’s Day – Honoring Those Who Served

Each November, Huron Valley Schools proudly recognize local veterans with special events held on or near Veteran’s Day. The Huron Valley Optimists are honored to co-host this celebration at Lakeland High School alongside school staff and the student Leadership group.
As hospitality hosts, we provide:
- Patriotic decorations to set the tone
- Light refreshments and plenty of hot coffee
- Warm conversation and heartfelt thanks for our guests of honor
This event gives students the chance to connect with veterans, hear their stories, and show appreciation for their service. The recognition benefits both the veterans—who feel valued by their community—and the students, who gain a deeper understanding of sacrifice, commitment, and patriotism.
